Privacy Policy

App data and local play

• No app account is required. You do not need to provide an email address, phone number, or login to use Fan Karma.
• Karma is local play, not a shared supporter count. In version 1.1, tap counts and mode selection (Bless / Jinx) are held in memory for the current play session. They are not synchronized with other fans or sent with sports-data requests; they are not a backed-up record.
• Match information is different from supporter activity. Some earlier versions displayed sample counters. In version 1.1, venue attendance, when provided, describes attendance at the venue, not people using Fan Karma.
• Optional sharing is your choice. If you use Share Meme, the app prepares an image locally and opens the system share sheet. The destination you choose receives the image, including any caption you included.

What we do NOT collect

• No in-app collection of your name, email, phone number, address, or contact list
• No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID)
• No third-party analytics SDKs
• No tracking pixels or fingerprinting
• No payment details are entered in the app; App Store purchases are handled by Apple

Children's privacy

Fan Karma is suitable for all ages and contains no advertising or in-app purchases. The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Third parties

Versions that show current fixtures, scores, teams, standings, or news request public sports information from ESPN's sports-data endpoints. These requests use public match, team, competition, and date identifiers, not your Karma tap counts, selected mode, or meme caption. As with other internet requests, the provider receives your IP address and ordinary connection information. We do not control the provider's logging or retention practices.

Opening a news link takes you to the publisher's website, where that website's privacy practices apply. This website also loads styling and fonts from external services. These network requests are separate from in-app analytics or advertising SDKs.

Your rights

We do not operate a server-side Karma account or synchronized tap history. Version 1.1 play-session values are held in memory rather than a persistent history. Images you choose to save or send remain in the destination you selected and must be managed there.

If you email support, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. Please avoid including private information that is not needed to describe the problem. Contact us below about that correspondence.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change this policy, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date above.
